Email Verification- Warning |
THIS IS IMPORTANT: We have received and email recently that tells us to "VERIFY YOUR EMAIL ACCOUNT NOW". It purports to be a "MESSAGE FROM OUR TECHNICAL SUPPORT TEAM". If we handle your email we would not send a message such as this - This message HAS NOT come from Forest Design. But whether we handle your email or not, we strongly advise that you ignore any such messages. If you are in any doubt whatsoever, please contact us.

Domain Names Renewal- Warning |
You may receive letters in the post, or emails in your inbox, that tell you that your domain name is due for renewal and you should renew your domain now. If your domain has been purchased by Forest Design on your behalf, or has been transferred onto our servers to host your website, the domain name is safe in our keeping. These companies keep track of the renewals of domain names and contact the registered owner to try to persuade them to renew the domain with them - which means transferring it. We recommend that you ignore all such approaches and if in any doubt contact us.

Access your email from anywhere in the world |
All our customers who use domain name email are entitled to use our WebMail service at no extra charge - you can access your emails from
any computer anywhere in the world. When you use WebMail you need to remember that you will be looking at your emails on our server before they are downloaded to your computer. So if, while in WebMail in a browser, you reply to an email, or create a new one, you will need to copy yourself so that you will have a record on your computer of that email. WebMail is also useful if someone has sent you a large file that may block your email box.
For complete instructions on the full use of WebMail, you can download a pdf file from here.
 |
Sending large files by email |
The standard domain name email boxes that we provide are 20Mb capacity. They can get full up if emails are sent to you with large attachments such as photos straight from a digital camera which can be as much as 3Mb each. When sending large attachments it is much better to send them using a free upload/download service such as YouSendIt - see their website at www.yousendit.com
If you need to send large files to Forest Design, we have a "Drop Box" facility where you can simply browse to the images on your computer that you wish to send us and drop them in.
This facility is here

Your website on 1st page of Google? |
You may receive emails or letters from Search Engine Optimisation Consultants (SEOs) promising to get your website on the first page of Google. Naturally you are at liberty to use whoever you wish to promote your website, but we recommend exercising extreme caution when choosing an SEO. If in any doubt, please talk to us as we know of several reputable SEOs who will be able to give you honest advice about how best to achieve good search engine rankings for your website.
